Melbourne Rowing Club exists to promote the sport of rowing for its members and the community.
Melbourne Rowing Club was one of Australia's earliest rowing clubs, established in 1862. The club has continued to prosper and grow into the fine and diverse network it is today, more representative of the wider community. Read more about our history here.
Today, Melbourne Rowing Club is a vibrant club with members aged 15 to 70 something from all walks of life, all over the world and all manner of rowing experience.
Our club has gone through many chapters, as generations of people have created a legacy that lives on beyond all of us. Through a merger, a change of uniform and colours, multiple clubhouse accomodations shared, demolished and reconstructed and the ebb and flow of membership numbers, the club today thrives on fun, friendship and the pure joy of the sport. Melbourne Rowing Club is an Incorporated Association and abides by the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012. Our Statement of Rules and Purposes can be found here. |
