Visiting Rowers

Already a rower and visiting Melbourne from somewhere else?  Whether for a few days, a month or perhaps you're settling in to Melbourne, you're invited!  

Requirements Moderate level of fitness 18 years of age or older Able to swim 50 metres fully clothed Capable boat handling skills Visitors with rowing experience looking to keep up their regime while travelling, have a unique Melbourne experience or finding a new club

Pre-Requisites

• Experienced rowers wishing to row while travelling or settling in to Melbourne.
• Current training level of fitness to participate in Masters, Competitive or High Performance programs, OR, some experience but more casual commitment to participate in the Dev Squad.

Cost & Registration

Visitors have up to 30 days to participate before being asked to join as members, however we do require you to register so that you are covered by Rowing Victoria insurance so we know who to contact in the unlikely event of an emergency. 

Visiting rowers cost is $25 no joining fee, payable at your first row. Ideal for those visiting Melbourne and would like an occasional paddle.  Access to unrestricted club boats and oars, gym, and ergometers for 30 days only. 
Visiting rowers cannot race.

What to wear

Rowing kit is perfect, and we love to see your club kit. 

Sun Protection! Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are highly recommended.
